Motorcycle card with tag

6x6 Card with attached removable tag.  The small motorcycle and "born to ride" on the tag are made with the same stamps as the larger one on the card. I just stamped on shrinky dinks (yes, the stuff some of used as kids) and used the craft heat gun to shrink it down. These are like small hard plastic charms after being heated. The nice thing after giving a card like this the person could take off the tag and use it for a book mark or on a scrapbook page.

Supplies Used:
c1483 Born To Ride Stamp Set
x7154B Cruisin Paper
z888 Black Staz On ink
Shrinky Dinks
z555 Craft Heat Gun
Cricut Art Philosophy Cart to cut the tags with
Z1701 Baker Neutral Twine.

At the Zoo Layout

Kit: Magic Moments, Pattern: Powerful Trio
Techniques: Using My Stickease to make a border (1/3 yellow circles on the Right Page)
Creating a layered ribbon bow
Creating a striped ribbon using a text box

These pictures aren't as clear because I had to buy a disposable camera because Brian (my husband) had our good camera at Spencer's soccer game.  I almost fell over when I found out what it cost to develop a roll of film - $12 at Walgreens.  I wanted regular pictures to have to send home with Dario and then had a FREE cd made with a coupon I had.  I was upset on the cost of developing photos could have made 4 digital complete 12x12 pages for the same price.  Geesh..learning experience for me.

Soccer layout with Lucky Paper

Kit: Lucky, Pattern: Portrait Collection
Digital Scrapbook Pages
My oldest son Spencer playing travel soccer. Click on layout above for larger photo.
Techniques: added: photo mat behind photo for journaling box
Using letters for embellishments
Create title by using several journaling boxes
Use: my stickease to create a border

Looking forward to getting my 12x12 pages in the mail.  They always look better in person plus I can add more embellishments like traditional pages because each page is white on the back then I slip each page into the page protector that comes with each ordered layout.

Sugar & Spice Layout (Mischief Paper)

Can you believe I  made these pages with the Halloween kit Mischief?  That is how easy it is to change the papers to match your photos. Pattern: Dynamic Duo, Kit Mix 5.  This is my great niece Kaylie. To make the table with cupcakes:   Took the stickease (large accent) table and cropped off the book and candle.  (medium accent).

Lucy - You are darling layout

My digital layout that I made using Studio J.  I just made 5 layouts with the guidelines from convention.  I have learned so much more about digital scrapbooking.  On this page I used the Lucy Kit, Stars Above Pattern, Kit Mix 4.  On this layout a few things I learned was how to toggle off the suggested accents, how to delete photo wells, add journaling box to cover b&t paper, add stitching and change the paper to any of Close to My Hearts 60 colors. You can try studio j for free by clicking on the link to the right.

Life is Tweet meets Lucy

I really liked how the this months stamp of the month "Life is tweet" added a fun touch to our Lucy Paper.  The stamps with designs and words were super easy to cut out with cricut art philosophy cartridge.  The  rub-ons that come in set of 4 pages with all different designs are easy to use and added a pop of color to my gray photo mats. I have found the tiny sparkles are easiest to put on with the Z1382 Tweezers they have a nice bent fine point.

Coach's Gift

Did you ever wonder what to get a coach for an end of the season gift?  Why not scrap a photo of the team and put inside of a photo frame?  This can be easily done this makes a great inexpensive gift.  The baseballs and letters are stamped and cut out.  The letters are done with E1018 Pennant Alphabet.  Total cost of this project around $5 (not including the stamps because these I had on hand).  Designed by my scrapbook club member Denise Sheffer.

Card Organizer

Do you ever get frustrated trying to find the right card?  You know you have made a bunch of birthday cards but can't seem to find the one you looking for?  Finally, after 7 years I decided to organize mine.  I used to keep mine in a very large box and just dig through it until I could find the one I was looking for.  1) I grouped my cards into theme's.  2)Made a name tag for each theme then put on a Z1038 My Acrylix Organizer. 3) placed all my cards in each box.  If you don't have as many cards you could easily but multiple themes in each box and use one of the dividers that comes with box to separate them. This has also shown me which theme's I am getting low on so now I know I need to focus on making more sympathy, baby and guy birthday cards.
